Beyond adventure race
Beyond Adventure Race Creeslough in Co.Donegal has been developed to bring a positive beacon of HOPE and INSPIRATION to a community devastated in recent tragic events. Our mission through the power of sport and nature is to help unite and rebuild confidence in the village and it’s people.

The two event distances, are a mix of trail running, road cycling, and a mountain hike up Muckish Mountain.
Each course are fully sign posted and each athlete wears a timing chip recording your overall time. All finishers will receive a very special Beyond Adventure Race Creeslough Medal and a bite of warm food at the finish line.

Sign on will take place on Saturday 24th May 2025 from 7am to 9.00am sharp in the WILD ATLANTIC CAMP CREESLOUGH.

You then go to the identified start transition area and rack your bike , helmet, footwear water and food.
You then warm up and be ready for your start time, please do not leave the area or you may miss your start time.

We have developed a dedicated way up and seperate way down both run along side each other.
Muckish miners path however can be narrow and steep in sections so please use good common sense, be safe and careful and always give way to competitors descending the mountain, by stepping safely aside for a second.
For your safety follow the qualified Mountain leaders instructions and you must stay on the marked mountain path. miners path course.
There will be water and first aid available in all transition areas
Wild Atlantic park TA1 Muckish mountain TA2
- Bicycle helmet.
- Bike rear flashing light (on at all times)
Road bike is best – all bike sections are on tarred roads and you must wear a helmet and have a working rear flashing light on at all times.
Your bike must be fully functional with good brakes and tyres.
Starting out from transition 1 at Wild Atlantic camp you will complete a short 2.5km trail run in your trail running gear (runners-shorts-jersey) – returning to Transition 1 and onto your road bike, you can either change in transition 1 into cycling shoes (but remember to carry your runners in a backpack as you’ll need for the Muckish mountain section again) At transition 2 located at the bottom of Muckish mountain you will drop your bike, change footwear and carry your mandatory kit and some food and drinks with maybe an extra warm jersey to wear to and from the summit. Returning from the mountain summit section you travel by bike all down hill to Wild Atlantic camp at Transition 1 – rack your bike and complete the short 2.5km run to the welcoming finish.
Yes, Race volunteers will be available at certain points along the course. However, you must carry your mandatory kit with you at all times.
