M2M BIKE 2022
This is an Official Cycling Ireland registered event. It is a single stage 590km bicycle race completely on tarred roads, from Mizen Head to Malin Head.
The route slices through Ireland’s enchanting mystical magic of Ireland’s celtic culture.
Ultra Cycling Record stands at 21 hrs 55 min.
Record holder is Joe Barr and was completed on July 4th 2020
Ultra Cycling 2 Person Record stands at 23 hrs 14 min
Record holders are Owen O’Sullivan & Andrew Gleeson and was completed on July 31st 2021
M2M RUN 2022
Ireland’s longest and most demanding Ultra Run single 590km non stop from Mizen Head 2 Malin Head.
Run it Solo with support team or as a 6 person team ensuring one runner is on the course at all times.
Ultra Run Record Stands at 3 days 1 hour 55 mins.
Record Holder is Ed McGroarty and was completed on July 5th 2021.
M2M Rules
- Mass Start in Mizen head
- Bike race only Support vehicles will locate 20km away from start line along race course.
- Motorcycles may not be used as support vehicles.
- All Support vehicle leapfrog follow during daylight hours.
- Mandatory Direct follow Dark zone is from 9pm until 7am.
- All Support vehicles must have two amber flashing roof lights.
- Support crew’s in Hi-Viz vest at all times
- There is no maximum number of support vehicles or crew that a racer or team may have.
- All Riders must be self sufficient for first 20k
- Everyone follows fixed GPX course.
- If self-supported means completely self supported no external help.
- Individuals must carry provided GPS tracker.
- Drafting is not permitted unless competing as a pair or team.
- Everyone is responsible for his/her actions, and think safety first when making decisions.
- Own personal and health insurance is mandatory. Cycling Ireland licence members and one bday licence holders are covered.
- Helmets, lights, Hi-Viz reflective gear and fully functional equipment is essential and mandatory.
- Racers must obey all traffic laws including stops at stop signs and red lights.
- Unsupported riders only gets a Bag drop to finish line.
- Racers or crew members who are seen disposing of waste materials in an illegal manner
- The Race Director has the final say.
